Oh yeah, we also renovated the Sap House Pro Shop!
Enjoy some pictures of the renovation below, step 1 was to take almost everything upstairs!
New lost and found database, powered by udisc
The great folks over at UDisc have done it again. The Maple Hill Lost and Found is now a genuine database and we are quickly getting caught up on disc entry.
Also, as part of the Pro Shop renovation, we doubled the number of discs that can be stored in the lost and found. We returned over 2,600 discs in 2020, and over 5,000 discs in 2021. With this new system, we should be able to return even more in 2022. Come and visit Maple Hill - and huck one in the pond for us!

Tee Time Starter
Hourly ($15/hour to start, starting 3/12 - 10/16/22 (and 23,24,25...))
We are looking for a friendly people person with disc golf experience and enthusiasm that is comfortable checking people in on weekends and coordinating when they should tee off. There is the potential for needing to gently tell players that they missed their tee time and may not be able to play. This position is weather dependent.
Lots of exciting things are happening at Maple Hill this off season. Here is what you need to know.
As we have seen so many new players playing in that last year, it also became apparent that the White Course is a bit too challenging. The Red Course is a great way to learn the sport and avoid losing discs in the Maple Hill water. Once you start shooting more pars than bogeys, your eyes will naturally start to wander to the White Course. It is the next step in the course progression, but until 2021, it was a really big step.
We are making many changes to the White Course. The White Course is becoming a super size Red Course. It offers more challenges, brings some water into play, but it will now be a relatively basic disc golf course, losing many of the difficult angled shots. All of these changes are being put in place to make the White Course a much easier course for beginners to step up and try.
The complete list of changes is below the picture but before we get to that, we should address concerns of players of the current whites. The White Course and the Blue Course difficulty levels were too similar. For example, if you love the White Course and don't like the changes, perhaps it is time to step up to the Blue Course, which is also changing a little bit. Or, if you loved White Hole 1 over the pond, this is now Blue Hole 1. If you loved White Hole 10's dog leg up the hole, give the new Blue Hole 10 (old Diamond 10) a try to get the same effect.
Maple Hill Lost and Found stats:
We have around 1500 discs in the Maple Hill lost and found at any given time. Since March of this year, we have implemented some new L&F policies.
Lastly, 50% of the funds raised from selling the purged discs will go to the Cutler Place fund. This is a secret project that we are working on. If we can raise $25,000 for the Cutler Place fund by the end of the year, look for some spectacular new tees in 2021!
Note: very limited supply.
Do you want to advertise at Maple Hill, one of the best courses in New England? Well we want to continue to pour money into improving the course and on course sponsorship is one way to make this happen. As soon as we were forced to close due to Covid-19, we had a team meeting and decided to utilize the quiet time to invest in the course and shop. The result is several new tees, a new layout, a redesigned shop, a new tee time system, a better riding mower, and an even more improved lost and found.
More people are playing Maple Hill than ever before. It is time to utilize Maple Hill to advertise your brand and to invest in one of our sport's constantly improving gems. All money from on course advertising will be spent on improving the course. As holes change and/or tee signs get updated, we will put new signs up for sponsorship.

Maple Hill Membership refresh. Below are the three membership tiers that will be in effect as of today, May 21, 2020. Note, also as of 5/21, kids and walkers will no longer be able to play for free. Due to the now limited space required due to social distancing, we are very sorry that we must discontinue these much beloved policies.
All memberships will continue to receive
$200. Single person membership.
$300. This membership level is for couples (married or living together). The goal is to encourage both members of the couple to come out and enjoy Maple Hill.
$400. With kids no longer being free to play at Maple Hill. This level is for families, whether they be traditional or modern (married or living together couple and up to three kids).
The improvements never stop at Maple Hill. Thanks to the love and support we get from all of the players, our desire to make the course better continues to grow. This year we are introducing a new configuration: The DIAMONDS. We hope you, and thousands of your discer friends, get a chance to enjoy the new sparkle at Maple Hill.
According to General Manager Steve Dodge, Diamonds will sit between Blues and Golds in difficulty, and it will also be his favorite layout to play. The smart money would be on some Diamonds specific tournaments in Maple Hill's future.
Diamonds 10, 17 and 18 will have dedicated tees in 2020 while holes 2 and 16 will have unique shots for the Diamonds layout. This means that we will be making five new tee signs, all of which will need a tee sign sponsor. For $10/month, get your name or company logo featured at Maple Hill and help us continue to improve this gem.
On May 8th, Maple Hill will be reopening, with restrictions. All customers must reserve a tee time before they play. The Pro Shop will not be open until 5/18 at the earliest. Also, with tee time reservations, we will be able to have your lost and found discs ready for you when you arrive. See complete Covid-19 details below.
In an effort to safely open Maple Hill, we are creating the ability to play without entering the Pro Shop while also putting distance between groups.
Starting May 8th, Tee Times will be mandatory. Payment ($8) will be per round.
Open Play tee times: 9AM-6PM
We are new to the tee time concept, so please let us know of any and all frustrations (or joys) you experience while utilizing this new system. Tee times may currently be booked up to 31 days in advance.
Reserve your tee times today. Anyone that shows up without a tee time and there is an open slot, we will ask them to reserve the spot online and then go play. Once everyone is in the online reservation system, it will be much smoother for everyone, and we can keep our distance as much as we would like.
